At Home Comfort Experts, we believe in giving back to the community. The way we choose to help is through the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). These men and women have served our great country and paid a great price. We want to honor their commitment and patriotism. On November 11, 2015, we made donations to local Disabled American Veterans chapters. We had the honor of presenting donation checks to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 19, Elkhart, Chapter 15, Goshen, Chapter 42, Marshall County, Chapter 40, Ft. Wayne, and Chapter 17, Benton Harbor.

Why DAV?

We have a lot of employees who are or have served in the military. It’s our way of giving back to those who have given so much to our country. We are a proud, American company and we are proud to give back to our veterans.

Spreading the Warmth

This year, Home Comfort Experts raised over $12,000 for the local DAV locations bringing the total to over $35,000 in the last five years. These donations are the result of a six week-long campaign that began on October 1st and ended on Veterans Day, November 11. For every new system installed, Home Comfort Experts set aside a donation to each DAV location in our service area. Any time a customer purchased a furnace or AC, we donated $50. If they bought a whole system, we donated $100.

“We have thousands of Veterans right here in Mishawaka and surrounding cities. Recognizing their sacrifices, and those of the men and women still serving, just seems like the right thing to do, in addition to our employees that are veterans or are still serving,” said Todd Mann, our owner.
