For many years, Home Comfort Experts has looked for ways to give back to the communities in which it serves, sponsoring local schools, churches, and sporting teams and events. But they were looking for a way to make a real difference and a bigger impact.

“One of the main focuses of this company is to keep people comfortable in their homes for as long as possible,” said Todd Mann, president of Home Comfort Experts. “When Federated Digital Solutions, our web provider, came to us with REAL Service’s needs, we thought we had a match. A way to serve our customers and make a big impact in almost our entire service area.” Home Comfort Experts has been your heating, cooling, plumbing and indoor air quality provider since 2006. Because of the loyalty of its customers and continued growth, HCE has expanded from the Mishawaka-South Bend area as far north as St. Joseph, Mich. It services from LaPorte to Fort Wayne, Ind., and as far south as Rochester, Ind. REAL Services has the responsibility of planning, developing, implementing and administering a network of services that are of high standards, are known, available and used by older adults and low-income households in North Central Indiana (Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph counties). Best known for Meals on Wheels, REAL Services does so much more, including energy assistance, catering, and the Community Action Agency, which assists low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency. “In all there are 20 programs REAL Services provides, serving more than 30,000 people in a five-county region,” said Becky Zaseck, president and CEO of REAL Services. “This year we are emphasizing support for people with Alzheimer’s Disease and their families, for whom the burden of care-giving often falls upon.” Dave Hayes, Home Comfort Expert’s vice president, said, “I lost my mom to Alzheimer’s so this issue is very personal to me. I want to help provide support to families that went through what my dad and I experienced for years. Many people don’t know help and training exists for care-givers. Home Comfort Experts wants to help get that word out so people can remain in their homes for as long and as comfortable as possible.” Zaseck said, “We are extremely grateful to Home Comfort Experts and looking forward to this continued partnership. REAL Services mission is to keep people independent in their homes for as long as possible. And Home Comfort Experts mission is to keep them comfortable while they’re there. It’s the start of a beautiful friendship.”

Annual Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Each year, both our Mishawaka and Fort Wayne branches volunteer hours each night to collect change in the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle holiday campaign.

Penny Drive for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital

Employees at Home Comfort Experts works with B100 radio to raise money during the annual penny drive. Last year we got almost 160 pounds of coins and the owners matched the amount raised.

Local Baseball and Softball Teams

At Home Comfort Experts, we believe family time and outdoor sports are an important part of community. That’s why we support your local ballparks and donate to various teams throughout our service area.

DAV (Disabled American Veterans)

Each year, both our Mishawaka and Fort Wayne branches volunteer hours each night to collect change in the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle holiday campaign.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Holiday Food Drives

We also raise money for various organizations including the American Cancer Society (Making Strides Against Breast Cancer) and the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

In past years we’ve collected thousands of food items for the Northern Indiana Food Bank and other local food pantries.
