Springtime Indoor Air Quality Survival Tips

Improving the air quality in your home can keep those upcoming springtime allergies at bay.

A quality air purifier will help to keep your indoor air clean and fresh. For example,ย  aย  HEPA,ย  High Efficiency Particle Air,ย  purifier captures and eliminates almost all visible and invisible pollutants that could trigger an allergy attack or compromise your family’s health in other ways.ย  Hospitals use HEPA air purifiers to maximize sanitary conditions.

These air purifiers can keep out::

  • Dust
  • Dust mites
  • Bacteria
  • Dander from animals
  • Pollen
  • Mold

In addition, an ultraviolet (UV) air disinfection system usedย  with a HEPA air purifier, will maximize your home’s air quality.ย  When installed in a HVAC system, the system’s ultraviolet light rays kill even more unwanted organisms such as as viruses, bacteria and fungi that live in the air.

Cleaning the vent of your clothes dryer, as well as theย  air vents and the air duct system throughout your home can reduce pollutants from invading your home, and so will changing the filter every two or three months in your HVAC system.
